Airtel Landline Services
Posted by idipp on December 18, 2007
Hi
It has been more than 1 year since I started using Airtel Landline phone for telephone and broadband connectivity, and I was pretty pleased with the services other than occasional problems in billing which areeasy to be spot by me and then I get it reimbursed.
Well, something happened with me related to Airtel because of which my feelings towards their services have changed, and I will like to share these with you.
On December 14th, 2007 morning, 4:30 am, many phones in colony ranged, because my sister was not at home, my parents thought she might have called up for some reason, they contacted her, and every thing was fine with her, but phones went on ringing for a long duration, which resulted in phones going dead, it was not a concern for me as I was about to leave for office that morning when I came to know about the incident, and thought of calling the complaint office later in the afternoon.
My father logged a complaint at their call center and they told him there was a sudden surge in line current which has resulted in phones going dead and engineers are working on the problem. When i reached home, I was annoyed by the fact that I will not be able to access internet not only today but for many days till this problem is resolved, but while I was walking back home, I saw some workers digging up trench and playing with wires under lamp light in the chilly night, later I realized they were Airtel workers.
Next morning when I got up, I was amazed to see that my phone was working, Airtel’s engineers worked whole night in the chilly weather to get the lines back to normal.
I was very pleased with Airtel services , had it been a govt phone case, it must have taken months!! I also sent a thank you mail to their support department for their services for which a few days later I got a reply back. The letter is posted below:
Dear support,
I am a resident of sector 34, Noida, on Friday, 14 of December, 2007, at
4:30 a.m. many phones of our colony went dead due to sudden increase in
electrical current in the line wires.
When my father complaint about phone going dead, he was given the details
of the fault and assured about the status of proceedings going on to get
the fault corrected.
I was very angry on airtel as I was not able to access net after coming
back from office, but the next morning, i.e. today, I was amazed to find
out phones working!!
My weekend was saved!!
Your engineers worked in the chilling night to get the lines corrected!!
Kudos to them.
My personal thanks to each and every one who was involved in this task!!
Thanks
Deepak
