As the dispute between India and Australia on cricket has moved on from biased umpiring decisions to racism remarks, here is what I found…
The person in this image feels disgraced on being called monkey but if there are some pics which resemble so much similarity, then we have to accept the Darwin Theory of Evolution and respect monkey’s as our ancestors!!
The 1st image:
But what cannot be accepted is the Australian newspapers morphing image of Symonds on God Hanuman’s picture.
It is derogatory for people of both the countries because in Australia it will be treated as their player treated as monkey and in India it is our god disgraced bymorphing his image with some other person’s image.
I was also amazed to find out that google searches and random scan through australian newspapers did not give the image as output but a friend of mine (GIRI) found the image on a Tamil website!! Though the pic is small, CNN-IBN showed the full image on TV for greater than 10 seconds!!
It has been more than 48 hours since the relationship between two cricketing greats hit the rock bottom after the fine line between “FAIR PLAY” and “HARD BUT FAIR PLAY” was crossed and all what was left was WIN at any cost for Australia!!
What the creators of this image would have never thought how true will it become:
Though like every body else, this post could have contained certain racism remarks against Symonds or comments against the umpires and specially against Ricky Pointing, but to maintain the spirit of humor and put in some nice comments, here are the NEW ICC RULES which have come out after this match!!
Some rules have to be incorporated by ICC to give the other teams a perfect clarification
(1)Ricky Ponting – (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED ) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE .
(2)While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.
(3)While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.
(4)UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.
(5)All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all players on the field and the OPPONENT TEAM should never comment as they will be spoiling the spirit of the AUSTRALIAN team. Any comments made in any other language are to be considered as RACIALISM only.
(6)MATCH REFREE decisions will be taken purely on the AUSTRALIAN TEAM advices only. Player views from the other teams decisions will not be considered for hearing. MATCH REFREES are to be given huge bonus if this rule is implemented.
(7)NO VISITING TEAM should plan to win in AUSTRALIA. This is to ensure that the sportive spirit of CRICKET is maintained.
( THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE : If any bowler gets RICKY PONTING - “THE UNDISPUTED CRICKETER WITH INTEGTIRY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET” more than twice in a series, he will be banned for the REST OF THE SERIES. This is to ensure that the best batsman/Captain will be played to break records and create history in the game of CRICKET .
These rules will clarify better to the all the teams VISITING AUSTRALIA .
I HOPE from now on, CRICKET will be played in the sporting manner (WITH EVERY MATCH RESULTING IN WINNING OF AUSTRALIA)
I wrote this poem yesterday only (06/01/200 at 1:30 a.m. after a long chatting session with one of my friend Sanjana!! What we talked had very little to do with pain and tears but after chatting with her, this poem just struck in my mind and I wrote it coming out of my bed, as it was just 5 minutes I went offline.
Though I wrote this poem because of Sanjana, I dedicate this poem to Soniya, Sanjana’s roomie, with whom I had a little online session for exchange of text, but she brought a good smile on my face in those little moments!!
So Soniya, here goes the poem for you and all others:
A very happy New Year to all of you. May this new year fulfill all our wishes and bring happiness, prosperity in our lives.
May this New year bring love and peace in this world.
Below is a video given to me by my good friend Swati, it is a sand art video, and really a good artist is on the work, having a same canvas but the picture keeps on changing!!
Many times we come across forwarded mails which seem to be good, but we just forget about them due to work load or because we don’t want to remember about it!! At times we just delete them without even looking at them, but still, there are some mails which are so important in life that they deserve to be printed, framed and to be kept on the wall. I don’t know I would be able to that or not, but at least I can paste this mail on my blog for you and me to read and remember.
With time this post will be buried under lot many posts, but it’s importance will remain the same, and might increase also looking at the current scenario.
So just spend a little time and read this story about a little child, his parents and his grand father.
A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and a four-year old grandson. The old man’s hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together nightly at the dinner table. But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass often milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. “We must do something about grandfather,” said the son. I’ve had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor. So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner at the dinner table. Since grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl. Sometimes when the family glanced in grandfather’s direction, he had a tear in his eye as he ate alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched it all in silence.Read the rest of this entry »
